Alvar Aalto was one of the founders of Artek and he is recognised today as one of the great masters of modern architecture. Alvar Aalto began designing furnishings as a natural and important extension of his architectural thinking. A spokesman for the modernist movement, he was also known for his experimental approach to bending wood, which can be seen in his 1932 Armchair 42 design. Available in black or white.
