Santa Cruz Beach: Sea Beach Hotel Scene, Framed Lithograph, 1889 Matted parks and the layout ofOriginal framed lithograph from 1889 of Santa Cruz beach frolicking scene after artist Arthur Ignatius Keller captured plenty of action in this late 1880s painting of the main beach at Santa Cruz. Keller was a widely known American painter and illustrator who did this illustration for the book Picturesque California by John Muir. The building in the background would soon be enlarged and become the Sea Beach Hotel at the corner of Beach Street and
