The Arco floor lamp has been in continuous production since 1962 and is now considered a design classic. Every part of the design has a function. The idea for the Arco lamp stemmed from the challenge of illuminating a table without obstructing space. Existing lamps required walking around them, so Castiglioni designed Arco with a base positioned further away, creating a more efficient solution.
