Lakshmi Riding an Elephant Oil Lamp - Early 19thC Desks richly worn surfaceThis Bastar tribal oil lamp of Panchdipa Lakshmi, the Goddess of Light. Lakshmi here is riding an elephant and holding a kalasha (oil pitcher) on her head. There are four oil burners on this lamp. The piece is very fine quality and made using the classic Dhokra lost wax technique.
