Hamilton Tile Works Rebekah at the Well Germany Great Aesthetic Movement designA late 19th century Victorian tile of Rebekah by the Hamilton Tile Works of Hamilton Ohio (1883 1901) in a lovely light blue glaze. It measures 12" tall and 6" wide. It is a beautiful clean example in a sharp mold and clean unworn surface. Although the imagery is classical in nature, it has a modern Art Deco feel as well. In the Bible Rebekah at the Well symbolizes the kindness and love she showed to Isaac as she offered him and his camels water.
