Denmark, Kingdom. An Order Of The Dannebrog, Commander I Class Star United Republic of reverse marked in pencil(Dannebrogordenen). Instituted in 1671. Multi piece construction, in silver with red enamels, the crown in Gold, the silver background on the cross composed of a unique series of hexagons, each of which bears a six pointed star, unmarked, measuring 57 mm (w) x 72. 5 mm (h), dual prong vertical pinback, crazing along with a gouge evident in the red enamels on the left point of the arm at 6 o'clock, very fine. Footnote: The Order of the Dannebrog is a
