Germany, Federal Republic. A 1939 Iron Cross I Class, 1957 Version Hold 7 mm x 67 mm(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 I. Klasse). Constructed of iron and neusilber, consisting of a Cross Patte with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with three central oak leaves, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 44. 40 mm (w) x 44. 52 mm (h), weighing 15. 6 grams, in near mint condition.
