Spain, Kingdom. A Miniature Order Of St. Hermenegildo, Commander By Number’s Star, C.1870 Newly Listed Bavaria – June 23(Real y Militar Orden de San Hermenegildo). Instituted 1814 by King Ferdinand VII. Queen Isabellas reign issue. Of fine quality manufacture, a miniature consisting of a ball tipped Maltese Cross in bronze gilt, featuring sets of three silvered rays in each quadrant, obverse exhibiting a figure of St. Hermenegildo riding a horse on a dark blue enameled background, surrounded by the inscription CONSTANCIA MILITAR (Military Constancy), encircled by a
