Desire Lines draws this Carignan from the own rooted, 1890s planted vines at Evangelho in Contra Costa County, where over thirty feet of pure sand and Delta winds produce a red with silky, fine grained tannins and irrepressible perfume. Cody and Emily Rasmussen ferment with a portion of whole cluster and carbonic, blending in a bit of Mourvedre, in a style inspired by the great cru Beaujolais. The 2021 hails
