Roagna, Barolo Le Coste, 2007 new-arrival The benchmark bottle of BasqueRoagna's traditional Barolo from the Le Coste vineyard in Monforte d'Alba, made by one of Piedmont's most uncompromising growers and now drinking at maturity. Roagna farms old vines naturally and ages the wine for years in large neutral casks before release, a slow and patient approach that captures site over cellar with unusual transparency. This is a back vintage bottle from a private collection, showing the dried rose, tar and earthy complexity
