A Rare War Of 1812 Infantry Shoulder Belt Plate United Republic of clasp affixed to its originalNorth American made, in bronze, consisting of an oval plate, the obverse bearing an etched monogram of King George III, the reverse with a tongue clip and dual studs for attachment to a belt, unmarked but a variation manufactured from approximately 1800 until 1820, measuring 55 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), a ground dug example in very fine condition.
