The dense plume like panicles of tiny bright yellow flowers that bloom in summer attract butterflies. Best color with full sun and slightly acidic moist well drained soils. Deadhead to prevent re seeding and promote a second autumn bloom. While falsely blamed for allergies, Goldenrod flower tea has been attributed to relief from sinus troubles.
