The obverse centre bearing a non magnetic iron cross paty, the centre bearing the cipher W the 12 oclock arm bearing a crown and the 6 oclock arm bearing 1914, within a ribbed border, the iron cross paty is superimposed on an eight pointed gilded star, the reverse is plain and bears a vertical pinback with a round wire catch, measuring 79. 05 mm, weighing 69. 8 g, very fine.
