The first paratrooper badge was made by BB&B and only 350 were made back in 1941 for the 501st Parachute Battalion. Then after the war due to requests from veterans BB&B once again produced badges from the original dies. The changed location of the trademark and added a date in the lower corner to show this was not one of the 1941 issue.
