without push button (without hinge on the back of the box

the centre waist bears two gitl brass shank buttons with the crowned flying albatross and the waist at the back left and right sides bear a metal hook for a sword belt

with the letters "G" and "Q" (Gregory & Quilter Parachute Company) along with wings on either side

Both sides of the blade have a fuller running from the mid point to just above the ricasso and incorporates an ornate floral pattern. The obverse ricasso bears a brass proofmark disk inscribed "PROVED", the mark centred within an eight pointed leaf, while the reverse ricasso is maker marked "J. STOVEL TORONTO".
