The rugs are wool woven in a traditional foot loom in Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca. All dyes used are from natural plant sources, so no chemicals were used throughout the entire process of its creation. Some of the plant sources used include marigolds for yellow and orange, lichen for greens, pecan shells for brown, cochineal for tones of reds
